Contact - Infant Jesus College of Engineering

In order to make it convenient for the students seeking admission to Infant Jesus College of Engineering, the Infant Jesus Educational trust adapts common policies and procedures for admission. This is irrespective of the course. Policies enumerated here in are subject to change.

  1. Request for admission to a course should be made only in the Registration Form which will be issued in the Office.

  2. Registration Form should be handed over to the Admission Officer along with a xerox copy of the marksheet of qualifying examination attested by a Gazetted Officer.

  3. All students including Other States and NRIs seeking admission to any course should attach a Xerox copy of the marksheet of qualifying examination and proof of age, duly attested along with the Registration Form. The candidate should produce an authentic certificate indicating the corresponding marks for each grade in marksheet.

    Short-listed candidates based on the overall ranking of qualifying examination marks for B.E. / B.Tech. / M.B.A. admission will receive a call letter for counselling along with parents. These candidates shall meet the Director and Principal with the receipt for the full payment of fees in the form of a DD drawn in favour of "INFANT JESUS COLLEGE OF ENGINEERING" payable at "TIRUNELVELI". No cheques will be accepted.

  4. Both the application forms can be filled by the candidates. Soon after the submission of the DD for the Common Entrance Examination the candidate shall be issued with the Hall Ticket for the Common Entrance Examination to be conducted by the consortium of Recognised Associations of all self-financing engineering colleges in Tamil Nadu.

    NOTE : Candidate who are awaiting for the Higher Secondary results also shall apply. If they fail to secure 60% in the Higher Secondary Examination, they may loose the admission also the money remitted for Common Entrance Examination or for College fee.

  5. If any candidate is found to have secured admission by fradulent methods like presentation of forged certificates, cheques etc., he/she will be dismissed from the college at any time during the course and will forfeit the entire fees paid.

  6. Students are expected to submit the following to the Admission Officer and get a letter of admission to meet the Principal.
    • Birth Certificate
    • Nativity Certificate
    • Community Certificate
    • Transfer Certificate
    • Counselling Call Letter
    • SWS Seat Allotment Letter
    • 7 Nos. Stamp Size Colour Photos
    • Baptism Certificate (For Christian Students)

    NOTE: The admission of other state and NRI students shall be confirmed only after the submission of eligibility certificate from Anna university by the student.
  7. Students who have opted for Hostel accommodation will report to the Manager of the Hostels and submit the prescribed application for Hostel accommodation and get the Hostel allotment after remitting the fee. Each student has to give an undertaking that he/she shall abide by the rules and regulations for the hostel.

  8. NRIs CATEGORIES 
    Candidate applying for admission under NRI should submit their application for Provisional Eligibility Certificate in the format prescribed, to Anna University with the following SEVEN documents 
    • Sponsorship Letter in Original with relationship certificate. (Blood relation must be Father, Mother, Brother, Sister, Uncle and Aunti Only).
    • Employer Letter in Original
    • Evidence for the payment of development charges of US $ 1000 to the College.
    • Statement of Bank Account of Sponsor with NRE Account Number.
    • Embassy Certificate of Sponsor in Original.
    • Nativity Certificate of the Sponsor.
    • Copy of Passport of the Sponsor.
    It is the responsibility of the students to get PEC from Anna University.

    Note: Fee should be remitted only in the college office. As per Anna University direction no student shall be permitted to attend classes until he/she remits the full fee for the academic year.

  9. REFUND OF REMITTED FEES 
    The fee once remitted shall not be refunded under any circumstances after the admission process is over.
  10. Withdrawal from the college in the middle of the Academic year. Any students who wishes to get transfer to other Engineering College shall follow these procedure.

    1. He / She shall apply to the Principal with a request letter for NOC for transfer along with the prescribed application form by CTE.
    2. While submitting the Application Form for NOC to Transfer to other Engineering College the concerned student should attach the following.
        # No Due Certificates from all the Departments and Library.
        #No Due Certificate from the College Office.

    Note: College Office shall issue the No-Due Certificate to the student only after full settlement of the current academic year fees, settlement of average fees for the remaining academic years and production of No-Due Certificates from all the departments and library etc.

    3. Without above mentioned No-Due Certificate the application for the issue of NOC to transfer will not be accepted by the College Office and NOC for transfer shall not be issued.
    4. If any of the student of Infant Jesus College of Engineering is admitted in any other Engineering College without valid NOC for Transfer from the College or Transfer Certificate from the College is liable for legal action for the recovery of fee dues. The admitting college also is responsible for the fee dues to Infant Jesus College of Engineering by the concerned student if the student is admitted without the Transfer Certificate from Infant Jesus College of Engineering.
HOSTEL ACCOMMODATION 
Candidates who wish to have hostel accommodation should intimate Admission Officer at the time of Provisional Admission, failing which hostel accommodation is not Guaranteed.

TRANSPORT FACILITIES 
The College provides Transport Facilities for the students to reach the college. Students desirous of availing this facilities should inform Admission Officer at the time of Provisional Admission and pay the prescribed fees.

The full year fee remitted by the student for Hostel Accommodation, Mess Advance or Bus Transport shall not be refunded to the student if he/she withdraws from the college or withdraws from the Hostel or Stops availing the Bus facility or action taken by the college for misbehaviour the middle of the academic year. 

NOTE : At the time of admission, the rules of Governing the criteria for entry will be subjected to the guidelines of the AICTE / COTE / Anna University etc. The student is required to comply with all such criteria as laid down from time to time by the above authorities the admission of the student is subjected to the final approval of COTE and Anna University.
