ADMISSION
PROCEDURE
In order to make it convenient for the students seeking
admission to Infant Jesus College of Engineering
the Infant Jesus Educational Trust adapts
common policies and procedures for admission. This is
irrespective of the course. Policies enumerated here in
are subject to change.
Application for admission to a course should be
made only in the Information slip which will
be issued in the Office.
Information slips should be handed
over to the Admission Officer along with
a Xerox copy of the mark sheet of qualifying
examination attested by a Gazetted Officer.
All Students including Foreign Nationals
and NRIs seeking admission to any
course should attach a Xerox copy of the mark
sheet of qualifying examination and proof
of age, duly attested along with the Information
slip. The candidate should produce an authentic
Certificate indicating the corresponding
marks for each grade in marks sheet.
All students shall be issued an application form
for the college admission and application form for
the Common Entrance Examination to
be conducted by the consortium of all self financing
engineering colleges Recognised Associations
in Tamil Nadu approved by the monitoring
committee appointed by Government of Tamil Nadu.
Short - listed candidates based on the performance
of the students in Entrance Exam for the B.E
/ B.Tech admission will receive a call letter
for counselling along with parents.
These candidates shall meet the Director and Principal
with the receipt for the full payment of fees in the
form of a DD. No cheques will be accepted.
Both the application forms can be filled by the
candidates. Soon after the submission of the DD for
the Common Entrance Examination the candidate shall
be issued with the Hall Ticket for the Common Entrance
Examination to be conducted by the consortium of Recognised
Associations of all self-financing engineering colleges
in Tamil Nadu.
NOTE :
Candidate who are awaiting for the Higher Secondary
results also shall apply. If they fail to secure 60%
in the Higher Secondary Examination, they may loose
the admission also the money remitted for Common Entrance
Examination or for College fee.
If any candidate is found to have secured admission
by fraudulent methods like presentation
of forged certificates, cheques etc., he/she
will be dismissed from the college at any time during
the course and will forfeit the entire fees paid.
Students are expected to submit the following to
the Admission Officer and get an admission tip to
meet the Principal.
Mark sheet of the qualifying
examination and pass certificate
Common Entrance Examination mark sheet
Transfer Certificate
Contact Certificate
Community Certificate (Applicable
for Tamil Nadu Students)
Eligibility Certificate from
the Anna University (To be obtained after admission)
7 stamp size colour photographs
Any other document as when required.
Students who have opted for Hostel accommodation
will report to the Manager of the Hostels
in the College for allotment of Hostel accommodation.
Foreign Nationals and NRIs
should produce the following original documents at
the time of joining the course The date(s) of joining
the course will be intimated in advance.
Mark Sheet / Pass Certificate
of the qualifying examination.
Common Entrance mark sheet.
T.C From the institution last studied.
Conduct Certificate.
Eligibility certificate from
the Anna University (Necessary assistance will
be provided by the institution for obtaining Eligibility
Certificate)
7 copies of stamp size colour photographs.
Nativity Certificate of Financial supporter.
Evidence for payment of Development
charges of US $1000.
Certificates from the Employer abroad
where the parent is working (applicable
for NRIs) and other details required by Anna University.
Letter from embassy about sponsor.
After scrutiny of the above documents and payments
of the prescribed fees, the students will report to
the Principal. with the 'Letter of Admission ' and
join the course.
Withdrawal from the college in the middle
of the Academic year. Students who wish to
withdrawal from the college due to personal reasons
in the midst of the academic year have to remit the
average college fee for each year to be completed
before applying for T.C. from the college.
NOTE :
This rule is framed as per Judgement of Islamic foundation
case against the state of Karnataka and others.
HOSTEL ACCOMMODATION
Candidates who wish to have hostel accommodation should
intimate Admission Officer at the time of Provisional
Admission, failing which hostel accommodation is not Guaranteed.
TRANSPORT FACILITIES
The College provides Transport Facilities for the students
to reach the college. Students desirous of availing this
facilities should inform Admission Officer at the time
of Provisional admission and pay the prescribed fees.
NOTE
: At the time of admission, the rules
Governing the criteria for entry will be subject to the
guidelines of the AICTE / DOTE / Anna University
etc., The students is required to comply with all such
criteria as laid down from time to time by the above authorities.
